Hilton Head Dining
Harbour Town Grill
Of Hilton Head dining this one is exceptional! Why?
Harbour Town Grill is one of the few Hilton Head Island restaurants without a water view! Rather it overlooks the 9th hole of the Harbour Town Golf Links. But then again Hilton Head Island and golf does go together!
Most golfers would tell you this is an absolute play-before-you-die course! On tournament week over 100,000 spectators will enjoy the views.
Harbour Town Grill has been open to the public for several years but it still feels like your own country club. Whats nice is you dont have to get dressed up to dine at this Hilton Head Island restaurant for lunch.
They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and even a Sunday brunch. We like their deli style sandwiches for lunch. For the kids they have the ever popular burgers, chicken fingers and mac n' cheese. Dinner is more formal and reservations are a good idea.
Harbour Town Golf Links has hosted the Heritage Classic PGA golf tournament since 1969 - now known as Verizon Heritage. Arnold Palmer won that 1st Heritage Classic, his first victory in 14 months, and really put Harbour Town Golf Links and Hilton Head Island on the map! The champions jacket is displayed in a glass case in the foyer.
One last note, the restaurant only has room to seat 50 diners. Local residents and members of a nearby golf club are sometimes caught by surprise; they don't realize the restaurant is now open to the public.
