Hilton Head Island Golf CourseEagle's Pointe Golf ClubEagles Pointe Hilton Head Island golf course is one of South Carolina's premier golfing adventures. The layout for the course was designed by PGA Champion Davis Love III. As a 4-time Heritage champ who played in the Low Country area annually, Love was well aware of how to perfectly balance a course with form and function. He used his knowledge and experience to create a picturesque Hilton Head golf course that combined challenging play with the outstanding natural beauty of the region. This Davis Love III course was built in 1998, and it has quickly become a heavy favorite among both local golfers and tourists as most Hilton Head golf guides will tell you. The setting is tranquil and breathtaking, with marsh grasses, live oaks, and gently rolling greens that beckon irresistibly to visitors. The Hilton Head Island golf course is located only a few minutes from the mainland and guests are always welcomed with warm, southern hospitality. The play at Eagles Pointe is consistent throughout the year, which makes this an ideal place for golfers of all levels. Breezes from the ocean are not a factor at this relatively protected course. This means that having to adjust for wind effects is held at a minimum. The fairways at Eagles Pointe are designed to be wide, and extremely well defined. Their open lines create a more forgiving landing for some of the errant shots that occur. The bunkering is dramatic, and designed to offer challenge to players, but they do not dominate this Hilton Head golf course. This Par 71 course is one that will reward risk and the wide fairways encourage even tentative Hilton Head golfers to become a bit bolder in their play. The putting surfaces are carefully contoured and precisely manicured, which makes encountering them a special delight. Throughout this Hilton Head Island golf course, you will chance upon large live oaks festooned with Spanish moss and large, sparkling lagoons that add character and charm to the setting. Nice course to try on your Hilton Head golf vacation but also a hot one because of the lack of a breeze. There is a large clubhouse for players to unwind after their game, and the restaurant has some great food and drinks. Players who are on a Hilton Head golf vacation can rent equipment and the club pro is always willing to provide some advice about the course. Hilton Head Golf Course Statistics
